Let Freedom Ring- A Little Late

The 4th of July is my favorite time of year not because I enjoy lighting fireworks off, but because I love taking pictures of them (all the BBQ's are also a plus).  You never know what you are going to get and that's the fun in it.  I snapped 100's of photos and probably 80% of them just ended up being all black but here's some of the ones that turned out!

I Have A Macro Lens?!

I bought a super, and I mean SUPER cheap fish eye lens awhile back, and today I discovered that there is a detachable macro lens!  It was the best discovery I have had in a long time, so I took a few pictures today.  The quality isn't the greatest and most of the photos have a lot of noise if you look closely, but for a $30 lens, I am super impressed!  You can find the lens here.

Underwater Photos

A few summers ago, I bought a waterproof case for my little point and shoot, but never really used it because I was afraid it didn't work and didn't want to ruin my only means of taking decent photos.  After I got a new camera, I decided to give it a try, and I have to say I can't believe I didn't sooner!  I would highly recommend anyone to try it.  I hoping to be able to get on some day for my DSLR so I can get a little more artistic with the photos.  Here's a few pictures I took this weekend (sorry about the weird corners, I dropped the camera awhile back and now the shutter won't open all the way on its own.)

Meet my favorite dog in the whole wide world, Roscoe.  He's our Weimaraner and we love him to pieces!  It was over a 100 degrees this last weekend so we decided to take him for a swim! He had only been swimming one other time, so he wasn't quite sure what to think and was a little terrified at first, which is unusual because Weims are known for being good swimmers with their webbed paws.  He panicked at first and began to sink, then his instincts kicked in and he loved the water!  After we let him out, he kept trying to jump over the 4' sides so he could get back in.

New Esty Art

I stayed up really late last night and decided to make some new items for my Etsy Shop.  Check them out!

Every night the past few days the Locusts have been attaching to our house and shedding their shells and I couldn't resist taking some pictures.  I had no idea they were an almost lime green when first coming out.  Nature is quite amazing!
